With All My Heart

Hi, I am currently having a love affair with kraft paper and using pigment inks. I learned this technique from Jennifer McGuire's blog and decided to try it here. I used Altenew's Persian Motif Stamp set stamped in Hero Arts Unicorn White ink and then I filled it in with more white ink with a Fantastix. I then added more color using Fantastik with Avery Elle Pixie and Raspberry pigment inks and W Plus 9 Cranberry Pigment Ink. The sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp die cut by Kristina Werner. I love her hand writing! Sequins are Pretty Pink Posh I think!

Online Card Classes Copic Markers for Card Makers Day 5

I have never colored skin or hair before despite watching numerous videos by Kristina Werner and Sandy Allnock but today after watching the videos in class by Kristina, Sandy, Kathy Racoosin and Kelly Marie Alvarez - I jumped right in and colored a Prima image. I had to make a card for my sister's future daughter in-law's shower and had no other ideas! So I colored the face with E0000, E01 and a smidge of E11. I colored the folds of the dress with C00 and C1 and then added sparkle with my Wink of Stella Clear Pen. I add Glossy Accents to the crown as well. And the hair was so scary to do. I thought it was going to bleed and it did a bit but I cleaned it up with the Colorless Blender. I used E51, E53, E57 and E59 as Kristina demonstrated in her video in class today. Not perfect but I like how it came out! The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Yummers! The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh!

This class has been worth way more than the price. I feel more comfortable than ever with my markers!

A Colored Card

Well I have been learning about Copics since I went to a retreat and sat next to Kathy Racoosin and across from Sandy Allnock. Sandy gave me a lesson and I was hooked! I had been wanting to try a card that was fully colored with Copics so I used Lawn Fawn Critters from the Arctic and Lawn Fawn Snow Day to make a flat card! I hope you like it! I found the coloring therapeutic! I did get carried away with my first ever white Uniball Signo Pen!

God bless!

A take on OCC Stretch Your Stamps 2 Using Floral Stamps

Hi, I have been struggling to make cards of late! I had that horrible cold that is going around! Praise God I think it is over!!! This card I have made 3 times and again the splatters got the best of me but I am posting it anyway. I used regular Neenah cardstock with pigment inks instead of Specialty Stamping paper with dye inks as Dawn of W Plus9 Designs suggests. I used WPlus 9 Spring Blooms and Fresh Cut Flowers. I drew the window and the window box which you cannot really see!!! The house color is Cup o'Joe from Hero Arts. The hello die is also from W Plus9. I am a bit addicted to their stamps and dies at the moment!

This is a busy card and not quite sure I like it but we can only grow by experimenting in this craft!

Thanks for looking!

OCC Watercolor Class and did not have the stamp

This was inspired by Dawn W. of W Plus 9's card using Flora and Fauna I. Her card was gorgeous but I did not have the stamp set. So I sketched this out and painted it with tube watercolors. Looking at it on the screen I can see that some of the leaves are too small and there is too much white space in teh center of the image which really should be the focal point! Oh well lesson learned -:) The script "thank you" sentiment is from Hero Arts.
