CASEing Dawn from W Plus 9

I love Dawn Woleslagle's style and stamps. Her teaching style is also something to rave about. Her last two videos using the stamp set Merry Little Christmas and watercolors were beyond amazing. I am in need of Christmas cards and I don't like making whole sets - would be more efficient but I get easily bored. Using my watercolors and Distress Inks and  W Plus 9's Merry Little Christmas and some Wink of Stella and the branch from Essentials by Ellen Christmas Scribbles from Julie Ebersole, I made this! I still need a lot of practice with my watercolors but I am happy to get this far! Go watch the video here it is amazing!

Succulents and Water Colors

Since I cannot possibly grow a plant no matter what I do - I buy stamp sets with flowers and color them in! Works for me! This stamp set is SSS Succulents and I used distress markers to watercolor the image on the tag. The images are super easy to line up with each other. The paper is from Prima Princess 6x6 paper pad. The design inspiration is from a card by Debby Hughes - hers is a lot better!!

CASe-ing Sandy Allnock's Peony Card

I have been obsessed with my Copic Markers lately! The Online Card Classes Copic Markers for Card Makers was so very instructive and I highly recommend taking it as an independent learner here. But I have also been very blessed by taking one private lesson from Sandy Allnock at the April Cincinnati Retreat and then two classes with her at Absolutely Everything in Topsfield, MA! She is such a wonderful teacher and I enjoyed the time I spent with her at October Retreat! She is an amazing artist and friend. I saw this card (here) at Retreat and just fell in love with it. Then I watched the video. I know the person the card was given to, and I know this video must have meant so much to her knowing Sandy's recent loss of Ciara.  Hugs and prayers to both of them!

So I made this card as my attempt to show a teacher that I am improving. I made it for my daughter's birthday and after she opened it she ran her fingers over the flowers to see if they were textured so I think I somewhat succeeded. I need to keep practicing though....and use fewer sequins. I noticed the sequin sneeze after I saw it on my monitor......

I used a Penny Black cling stamp for the peonies and Copic Markers RV 63, RV66, RV69, RV99 and G00 and BG000 for the coloring!

God bless and thanks for looking!
