Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit one more time with gelatos

I have had gelatos for years and never used them!!!! So in order to use them I followed some tutorials from Wilna Furstenburg as she uses them a lot in her scrapbooking. I used the Crate Paper Rub-ons included in the kit along with gold, pink, red and blue gelatos. Then I added some gold Twinkling H2Os! Excuse the photo I had to take it at night!

Simon Says Stamp February 2015 Card Kit

Well I might have reached a goal - I just about used up an entire card kit! This kit was packed full of a great stamp set, cute papers and a gold gelato which I still need to try! Here is what I made!
No stamping on this card! Just papers and a couple of rub-ons included in the kit. They were by Crate Paper.

Another card without stamping - just paper and rub-ons! The heart sentiment is too small now that I look at it.

I am entering this for the SSS Flickr Group Challenge 12 - create something with sparkle! The sentiment is from the set Paper Hug and is embossed with a black glitter embossing powder!

I need another card with sparkle which is on the butterfly but you cannot see that in this winter light!

The background papers are from the card kit as is the little sentiment which says this card is one big hug! But the image is Miss You Lots from W Plus 9 that I colored in with Copics!

Valentine's in Bubbles

I LOVE the Simon Says Stamp Full Card Bubble die!!! It is soooo useful and soooo cute!!! I paired it here with the stamp set Paper Hug from the SSS February Card Kit. The little love bird is from Lawn Fawn Science set and was colored with Copics and a little bit of Wink of Stella!

Case-ing Debby Hughes again and OCC Clean and Simple 4

I know I need more birthday cards so I tried the inked background technique as well as inking background papers to match all from Day 5 I think. I used the Pear-fect Set from W Plus 9 and a card design from Debby Hughes. The inks are from W Plus 9 as well! I am learning a lot from studying her cards and think I am getting closer to where I want my cards to go but my bow tying leaves a lot to be desired lol!! I am also still having trouble shooting cards during the winter! The weather here today was terrible - 14" of snow and counting. So I tried using a ring flash for this picture but don't think that really worked either! Will post when I figure out the camera settings!

Online Card Classes Clean and Simple 4 and Perseverance

I love Online Card Classes! If you haven't ever taken a class, run over and sign up! I learn something new each and every class and Clean and Simple 4 was no exception! But I am not very good at Clean and Simple cards....I am a messy stamper! I almost through out several of these cards but I decided to work through the uglies while listening to my friend Jean stream on UStream and my friend Paula Phillips stream through an art journal page! They both persisted. So I pulled three of the following cards out of the TRASH and worked my way through the uglies.

First, sequins and White Uniball Signo pen will hide most mistakes! Second, follow the directions given by the teacher (duh) and try and die cut a panel into another shape!

Day 2 Clean and Simple Die Cutting
Falling Hearts Card - I made red embossing paste using Colorbox lipstick red chalk ink reinker and Ranger texture paste. The "clouds" were die cut with Mama Elephant Stitched borders. The stamped image is about 10 years old and by Adriana Cirstea. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. I made the sentiment using my Dymo label maker- loved seeing Julie Ebersole use hers in Day 1!

This card was inspired by Tasnim Ahmed's technique from Day 5 and Kristina Werner's card from Day 2! The ship die cut is from W Plus9 and the sentiment from Lawn Fawn.

This card was inspired by Karolyn Loncon's Velveteen Stamping! It was so much fun! Made even easier by using SSS White Pigment which stayed so juicy!! The pear and sentiment are from W Plus 9! I am certain the design is from W Plus9 blog too!

This is my least favorite card! I really need to fix it but I wanted to try the die cutting technique demonstrated on Day 4 by Yana Smakula. I hope to get a chance to fix it this week! It is too blah and her cards were much prettier!
