You probably came here from Zinia Redo blog. Her projects are so beautiful!
We choose which products to use, and I selected Wallpaper Flowers and the coordinating die cuts. I love floral wallpaper - ok full disclosure, I do not have any wallpaper in my house just in case I change my mind - so I knew I had to have this set. However, the rest of the release was so very tempting - trust me!
To determine how to design the card, I turned to Pinterest and searched for floral wallpapers. The wallpapers with dark grey backgrounds and white/pink florals were the ones that caught my eye. So here is my card.
I have a You Tube video on my channel for this card.
This card was actually fairly simple to make. First, I wanted a handmade background. I used a piece of Neenah Solar White Smooth 80 lb card stock and covered it several times with Altenew's Artist Markers TG05 and TG07. In between layers, I used Kathy Racoosin's rag technique with Copic Blending solution to add texture. Finally, I added splatters of Sheer Shimmer Mist and a diluted mix of Winsor and Newton White gauche. You could use diluted white acrylic paint or white gesso. Just remember not to use your watercolor brushes with other mediums.
Next, I stamped each flower and vine several times with Versamark ink onto Neenah card stock which I had treated with an anti-static tool. For the flowers, I used Altenew's Golden Peach embossing powder. I used platinum embossing powder for the leaf vine which I adore!!!!
I then arranged the flowers and adhered them with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. You will see a first layout in the video and I will explain why I choose this one lol! I stamped and heat embossed the smaller sentiment from the Mega Greetings set. I then die cut the hello from the Halftone Hello die from 2 pieces of black card stock and one piece of 110 lb Neenah. I adhered them all together but I shifted the black die cut slightly to the right to give the hint of a shadow. To add dimension, I add clear Wink of Stella and Nuvo Crystal Glaze. Of course, I had to add some clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh - it is a must for me lol! So that is the card.
Next on the hop is the very talented Laurie Willison.
