Impression Obsession Old is New: Old techniques and a tale of a card's resurrection!

Hi and Happy Monday;
Up on the Impression Obsession Blog we are featuring some of our older stamps so you can have a look and be inspired. You might even have some of these products if you are me lol!!! Anyway, this card almost did not happen. It was just a day in the craft room....you know those days right? Nothing goes right, the mess keeps piling up and you can't think of anything to fix the card you are making. So I messaged our fearless DT Lead Jeanne Strieff and she said, "Let me see that card. It is probably better than you think. Well I said no of course. But this morning I took a look at the images and the card and came up with an alternate plan. Gold or what I am calling gold was born!

I used Roses Set 1 layering stamp set, Leaf Die and the Wood Grain CAC stamp. I went old school and ripped the background and added some brown shimmer spray to the edges. I die cut the gold embossed leaves and the vellum leaves from the die and the green leaves are from the Roses Set 1 Stamp set. I splattered some gold spray over the card front to add some interest and added some Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins as well. I die cut the sentiment from some gold embossed paper.

It still needs work such as some drop shadows underneath the rose and the leaves but considering how this started I am happy with it. I have listed the products below so you can check your stash. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for stopping by;
Susan

Products Used: I am using compensated affiliate links at no further cost to you. I purchased the stamps and dies for this project on my own. I did receive a discount for the Rose Set 1 and II and the Miss You die. I have owned the Wood Grain CAC for years. I have purchased the remainder of the products on my own because they are high quality and I love using them.
