Welcome to my part of the Impression Obsession Summer Release Day 3! You can find the entire release here. Head over to the Impression Obsession Blog for more design team inspiration.
Of all the cards, I made this is my favorite - I think! It is so sparkly in real life. I tried to show a close up of all the shimmer and layers below.
To create this, I used Shaded Leaves Cover-A-Card background cling stamp in my regular MISTI. I lightly dipped Vicki Boutin's greens and teals artist crayons in water and then scribbled them right onto the stamp. I sprayed a light mist of water onto the stamp and stamped it down. I stamped the second generation image onto a second piece of paper - why waste this loveliness. I heat dried the panel.
When it was dry, I used a stencil I made from our geometric background die and spread Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer paste over the stencil. This gave me a shimmery colored panel and a shimmery die cut!!! I let the whole card panel dry on its own. Meanwhile, I stamped the greeting - Sweetest Day cling stamp - with Versafine Onyx black and heat set it. I mounted this on 3M foam tape and added a panel of vellum underneath for a little emphasis. I finished the card with Pretty Pink Post clear droplets. I love this and it was easy to make.
This was even easier. The girl is from She Knew, a clear stamp set and the sentiment is from Indeed and indeed you need because I used it on almost every card I made for this release. The wreath is a cling stamp set called Floral Frame. I used my Copics to color everything in. The background is Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide that I applied with my largest Life Changing Blender Brush. I added texture to the back panel by using some splatted water drops. I popped the girl up on 3M foam tape and adhered her to the wreath! Really this is an easy, awesome, adorable release to work with!
