Impression Obsession: Pastel Die-Cut Floral Bouquet

It is Die Cut Obsession Monday over at the Impression Obsession blog.  Every two weeks, the IO blog highlights cards made with die cuts. I love that we are doing this as I admit my go-to is stamping. I am trying really hard to work on layering and die cutting. For more inspiration from the design team, go here.

For today's card, I challenged myself to use nothing but dies. There is no stamping on this card. It took about 45 minutes to make which is quick for me. Most of the time was spent in choosing colors of card stock.

For card stock, I used Neenah Solar White 80lb, W Plus 9 Designs Coal Mine (the dark grey), Dove Grey and Cashmere card stocks. I used a sheet of shimmery white vellum and laid that over top the Cashmere card stock. I cannot find a link to a shimmery card stock but I think Graphix has one

For the dies see the list below, but you could do this with any dies you have. I simply die cut 2-3 of every die I used and then arranged a bouquet until I was happy with it. All of the florals in the back are adhered flat. The large white leaf stem is adhered with 3M Foam tape. I then adhered the hello die cut with Golden Matte Medium! Easy! You could change this up to a wedding or anniversary card by swapping out the sentiment or adding a sentiment strip. I decided not to add sequins or clear droplets because they were pulling my eye away from the bouquet..

So get out your dies and play. If you are a go to stamp card maker, I would definitely suggest this exercise!
