Picket Fence Studios and WOW Embossing Powder Collaboration Blog Hop

Hi, This collaboration is so much fun! I love embossing powders (don't ask how many I have) and I love Picket Fence Studios. For this project I used Iced Silver, Misty Sky, and Oceanic WOW embossing powders. I chose these three so I could make an ombre look of blue greens on the card.

No blog hop is complete without prizes. WOW is giving away 6 embossing powders of your choice along with a carrying case! Picket Fence Studios is giving away a $50 gift certificate to their store. To enter leave a comment on this blog post and all the other blogs on the blog hop. The comments will be open until 11:59 PM EST August 4th. The two winners will be announced on August 5th on the Picket Fence Studios blog and the WOW Embossing Powders Blog.

You definitely need a MISTI for the stamping as these are sections of large backgrounds. I used all the stamps from On The Ocean and embossed each one using the 3 powders onto Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock. I did this repeated stamping so I would have lots of pieces to chose from. I have a video below showing my process.

Once all the embossing was done, I cut out each ocean swirl. Then, I assembled the card from lightest to darkest. I stamped Oh So Many Birthday Wishes sentiment with Versamark ink and used the darkest embossing powder, Oceanic. I then added Hero Arts Aqua Enamel dots to the vellum. I attached the vellum to the background using Gina K. Design Connect Glue underneath each enamel dot.

This really was an easy and fun card to make. The different textures of the embossing powder are hard to capture with the camera but make for a lot of interest in person. Next on the hop is: Karen Reategui
