Hi, Welcome to Day 1 of the Impression Obsession Winter Die Release Blog Hop!! Each design team member has a $25 gift certificate to give away so please leave comments on each blog!!! All comments will be open until Thursday, September 19th. The winner will be announced on Sept. 20th on the Impression Obsession Blog.
This release is amazing! I have made so many cards with it using multiple die sets in each card. Even better, I made them quickly! You can find the full release here. If you get lost on the hop - I always do - go to the blog. You probably found your way from Lynda Pleckan beautiful blog - love her cards.
For card number 1, I challenged myself to use as many die sets as possible and to use foil paper! I think I did ok! I cut a panel of Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock to 3.25" x 8.75". The card is cut to 6" x 9" and scored at the 3 1/2" mark. This size card will fit in a standard business envelope! I like using this size because I have more vertical room to work with. I used Retro Ornaments, Joy and Winter Foliage for this card. The foliage cluster at the top should be bigger but live and learn lol! I die cut everything from scattered paper remnants that all coordinated. I assembled the ornaments using dry adhesive. So easy to do.
For this card, I was still using turquoise as my focal color but I swapped out the purple for red. I used Coffee and Cocoa and Winter Foliage again. I did add some Copic shading to the cups and the Marshmellow Fluff - the best topping ever. I also used my white gel pen to add a white border around the edge. I did add some clear Nuvo shimmer pen to the coffee mugs. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark using my MISTI - this time I remembered to treat my paper first with the antistatic tool! I then heat embossed with White Diamonds embossing powder.
Thanks for stopping by and head over to see what Vicki Garrett has made !
