Impression Obsession Winter Die Cut Release Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Impression Obsession Winter Die Release! Each design team member has a $25 gift certificate to give away so please leave comments on each blog!!! All comments will be open until Thursday, September 19th. The winner will be announced on Sept. 20th on the Impression Obsession Blog.

This release is amazing! I have made so many cards with it using multiple die sets in each card. Even better, I made them quickly! You can find the full release here. If you get lost on the hop - I always do - go to the blog. You probably found your way from Lynda Pleckan beautiful blog - love her cards.

So for the first card, I just had to use Typewriter Sentiments to form the background. Lots of great sentiments here for many uses! I left the words still attached with the wires and die cut them several times using Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock. I have a video below that shows my process.

I glued each word down in a pattern that looked good using Gina K. Designs Connect Glue. You can make this kind of background with any word dies or use a dry embossing folder. I think using the dies gives a more dimensional effect. I die cut the stocking parts from patterned paper and plain card stock. I used the Snowman Accessories set to die cut the coffee travel mug and mittens - perfect stocking gifts right?  I then stuffed my stocking which is popped up with some 3M Foam tape.

I think this is my favorite card. I die cut different colors of 110 lb card stock using all of the Vintage Snowflakes. I did use three shades of pink card stock but I cannot get that third color to pop. I also used Bazzill Vellum for snow flakes in the background. I adhered all the snowflakes with Gina K Connect Glue on an A2 card made from charcoal card stock. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. This card is going to a friend or my daughter when the first snow falls where they live.

Thanks for stopping by. You have reached the end of the hop. You can start all over by returning to the Impression Obsession Blog.

  27. The snowflake card is my fav too, but I really like the stocking card a lot because of the background! Brilliance!!! I never think to do that! And I love that they are all the same font, too. And I LOVE that you used older items from your stash along with these new dies!!! I'm on a mission to either use or donate the older stuff in my stash, which can be hard with so many techniques to choose from that just use ink! LOL Loved the video and don't worry, even Jennifer McGuire has her phone in the shots sometimes. Not unprofessional... well, unless you're checking Facebook on video :-P
