Yay! I love a good giveaway and these products are some of the best. My idea book is overflowing! You can find all the new products in the STORE.
I had so much fun making this card. Using my MISTI, I stamped the Cover A Card Camellia cling stamp with Versamark Ink onto Arches 140lb cold press watercolor paper. I then heat embossed it using white heat embossing powder. My own camellias are blooming in my backyard and I used those colors as inspiration for picking out my colors. I chose Daniel Smith Opera, Magenta and Quinacradone Gold. After I finish my painting, I splattered on some gold shimmer spray and some Perfect Pearls. I die cut the "love you" from Love Words and adhered it using my MISTI Creative Corners. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to each letter and coated them with Nuvo Crystal Glaze. I then added dots of Crystal Glaze all around the card to look like rain drops.
I have always adored Gingko trees. We had one at our old home and I miss it very much. So I had to use this stamp: Gingko Spray. I removed the foam pad from my MISTI and attached the stamp which is a cling stamp to the MISTI door. I wanted to do some no line coloring with my Copics so I stamped the image with Bundled Sage Distress Ink (not the oxide) onto Neenah Solar White Smooth 80lb card stock. I used quite a few green markers and hope I remembered them all. I added in some veining with Kelp Green Prismacolor pencil and added to the "nooks and crannies" with the Indigo Blue pencil. I fussy cut the image out after coloring it.
Copic Markers: G20, G21, G24, YG67, G29, YG01 and YG99
For the background, I used a side folding pre-made 4-bar card. I used a small polka dot stencil with Tumbled Glass and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink with my Life Changing Blender Brushes. For that die cut panel, I die cut Scalloped Nine Patch 3 times and mounted them using a shifting pattern to make an offset grid. I adhered these together with a liquid adhesive. I popped up the Ginkgo Spray with 3M Foam tape and let it hang off the side a little bit as this card is smaller than the A2 envelopes I use. For interest, I added some clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.
