Happy New Year and welcome to another challenge from Impression Obsession. The challenge theme is Love Is In The Air and you can find more inspiration and information on the blog -> HERE.
These stamps are all from the new Valentine's Release. It is yummy in more than one way. We will be hopping with the Valentine's stamps and the Spring Stamps and Dies next week.
When I saw this sentiment about chocolate cake, I couldn't resist. I know how I look at, rather lust after, chocolate cake. Using my MISTI, I stamped Slice of Cake onto Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock and used several Copic Es to color in the cake and RV11 and RV14 to color the frosting. Nothing better than chocolate cake with cherry flavored frosting just like my Nana made!
Again using my MISTI, I pretreated a piece of vellum with my antistatic tool and heat embossed the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and clear embossing powder. I popped the Slice of Cake up on top of the sentiment using some 3M Foam tape.
To make the background, I trimmed a piece of card stock to 4" x 5.25" and used the Basket Weave Cover A Card cling stamp and my regular sized MISTI with the foam piece removed. Again, I pre-treated the card stock with an anti-static tool. Using Versamark Ink I stamped the image just one - with cling stamps you really only need one stamping. I added white embossing powder and heat embossed this beautiful basket weave onto the pink card stock.
Next, I placed some light enamel dots on to the vellum panel and then adhered the panel to the basket weave panel using a liquid glue. I then adhered the full front to a 110 pound Neenah Solar White top folding note card. Easy card to make. Sadly I do not have my grandmother's baking skills but a girl can dream with a stamped image.
