Today over at the Impression Obsession blog we are focusing on the new Spring dies. They are gorgeous. You can find more inspiration here at the IO Blog. My favorite is the new Magnolia Wreath, I love the details in the flowers and that you can really build dimension with this set.
This first card was all die cutting which is a huge switch for me. I die cut Embroidered Flowers cover plate from pale pink card stock. I die cut the wreath three times and stacked them for dimension. Each of the flowers is one each of the flowers. I used Copic Sketch YR0000 to give a little color to the inside of the flower. I then die cut Hugs and that was it.
According to my grandmother the Celtic Knot meant love. So I used this to make a wedding card or just a friendship card because friends love each other. I first used Distress Watercolor paper with Distress Ink Mowed Lawn, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint and I spritzed it with gold shimmer spray. I let this dry and then die cut the knot. I splattered the card with gold shimmer spray as well and stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
