So here we are for Old is New Day at Impression Obsession blog. I resurrected a sort of older stamp, Leaves Silhouette, and some old tools. I have been catching up on my homework from Online Card Classes Spring Card Camp 2. This is a technique from Dawn Woleslage which uses a Gelli Plate or Gel Press and inks. That is all you need and some paper. You can find the course here. I pulled my brayer and Gel Press out from my closet of "It's Been A Long Time" storage. I think it was 4 years that I last used these tools!!!!!
I simply inked my Gel Press with some Hero Arts Reactive Inks and Distress Oxides in various color combinations. I am not sure what combination yielded this card but as you can see I made a lot of backgrounds. This technique yields two card panels in one printing session. Swap out the ink colors and make two more panels.
To die cut the panel I used our new Postage Stamps die set which is perfect for 4-bar cards. The sentiment is from Mom Life. It is perfect for the new mama I sending it to,
