All of the new stamps and dies are available now! You can find them all HERE.
For my first card, I just had to use this Soft Poinsettia stamp which is quite large. This is a 5x7" card with the image panel being 6.5 x 4.5". I love poinsettias and you can tell by the number of poinsettia stamps that I have. I also felt like pulling out my regular watercolor panel so I could have some fun. Using my regular sized MISTI, I stamped the image onto Arches 140 lb cold pressed paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Because I used watercolor paper which has a texture, I did have to stamp this a few times. That said, I think this would be really fun to paint on Arches Rough texture paper. The sentiment is from last year's release and is called Holiday Words. Again I used my MISTI and Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Continuing with my Christmas in July theme for this release day, I decided to use our new Big Bow cling stamp. Using my MISTI, I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock which is great for Copic coloring. I used R32, R35, R37, R39 and R89. I also added color pencil details. I then fussy cut it out leaving a thin white border. To create the background I used Wood Grain background stamp and Versamark Ink for embossing. I used a silver glitter embossing powder to give the main panel more dimension. However, you cannot sadly see the detail. Using a background stamp in this way really gives a card visual interest. I then die cut the Joy die from some silver glitter paper and Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock twice so that I had 3 Joys to stack for dimension. I then added some sequins but I am not sure which brand.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store. Head back to the blog for more details and the hop list: HERE.
