Hi and Come for Tea

Hi and yes do come for tea! The plate and tea cup were my grandmother's! This Triangle-Fold top card was inspired by the this video from Lisa Cisneros found here. The front label lifts up to reveal a side folding note card on which you can write a personal note. When I saw the Quilted Frame die I knew I had to use it on this type of card.

The background was made using a Gel Press Technique by Dawn Woleslage for Online Card Classes Spring Card Camp 2. I used a light blue pigment ink and honestly, not sure which one I used. I might have too much ink. Anyway go check out that class. I used Leaves Silhouette and this was the first print I pulled from my Gel Press.

I die cut the label twice from Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock. When I cut the label the second time, I did not remove the oval. Instead I kept it taped to together so the back half is fully enclosed. I sandwiched my print between the two labels using 3M Foam tape. To make the patterned paper on the triangles, I used Thin Stripes Cover-A-Card background stamp and Baby Blue ink with my MISTI. I die cut Hi from Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock and layered 3 pieces together for dimension. I added clear Wink of Stella and Nuvo Deluxe Glaze to add some shine. The droplets are from Pretty Pink Posh.
