My Sweet Petunia and Pink Fresh Studios Co-Hop

Hi,
Welcome to my blog. I am so excited to be on this hop. I looooooove Pink Fresh Studios' products. I have quite the stash. I also love my new MISTI.

As always with a blog hop there are prizes, each store has a $50 gift certificate to give away. Please leave comments on all the posts to increase your chance of winning. You can find the Pink Fresh Studio card blog: HERE. The My Sweet Petunia blog is HERE.

For my card I used Pink Fresh Studios Leafy Decor, Liquid Watercolor and Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangle. I really wanted to give the Liquid Watercolors which I have had for quite a while thanks to a gift from a very dear friend.

I set up my new MISTI - oh it is wonderful. I love all the upgrades including the magnet resting spot.
I use the Creative Corners a lot so I keep those in my MISTI. To begin I lined up my stamp with the L shaped Creative Corners and centered it on a piece of Fabriano Artistico Extra White Hot Press watercolor paper. I used Versamark Ink along with Extra Fine White Detail embossing powder. I decided to go with heat embossing as this image has fine lines and I knew that no line water coloring would be hard. I blame that on my need for new glasses...or perhaps my age.

Anyway, once I had it stamped I used the smallest layer die from the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles to die cut the water color paper. I then used various colors and mixes of Pink Fresh Studios' Liquid Watercolors. I always use these in a porcelain dish because a little goes a long way. I used a #2 and #1 round brush. To get the blue background, I added a bit of M Graham Paynes' Gray to one of the blues to get that color.

Again using my MISTI and the L-shaped corner, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed it using Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I added some pencil details and a few droplets. Using the next largest panel die I some vibrant green paper - don't ask which brand. My paper stash is a mess. I adhered that panel onto a slim line card made from Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock. I then used 3M Foam tape to adhere the main image onto the panel.
