Hi, Today we are using stamps from previous releases. You can find more inspiration from the Design Team over on the IO Blog. Today I used Cover-A-Card Pine Trees and Darkness Stars. I really had fun making this card using a double stamping technique to add different colors to the trees.
First, I ink blended the sky using multiple layers of Distress Ink Tumbled Glass. I then let this dry over night to make sure the sky was completely dry. Using my MISTI and a 6" x 6" piece of Neenah Solar White, I stamped the trees first in Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide. I then applied clear embossing powder to the image and THEN I used a tiny brush to remove some of the powder so I could have an uneven embossing.
Over the embossing powder, I added more Shabby Shutters and some Walnut Ink Distress Oxide. I then added some white gouache to mimic snow at the bottom and I splattered some on the sky. I also add Sheer Shimmer Spray to the background.
I let this dry for a period of time. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black. I then added some clear sequins to add to the look of dim stars in a twilight sky.
