Flowers and Coffee

Today, Impression Obsession is having a theme day and it's flowers. You can find a list of the blog posts at the Impression Obsession blog. Of course, I had to jump right in as I adore Impression Obsession's Floral stamps.

For this card, I masked and stacked up 3 of the Sweetheart Rose Cups as if they were on a shelf in my house. For the stamping I used my MISTI and Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White Super Smooth card stock. I used Versafine Onyx Black ink for the sentiment as I think this ink stamps more crisply for sentiments.

Copic Markers Used:
Flowers: B60, C0, YR0000 and R0000
Greens: YG61, YG63, YG67, G20 and G24
Blues: B01, B04, B06 - I think. I forgot to write this combination down so this could be wrong. Frankly, I think I will color up the roses in a darker flesh tone and shade the cup as white. However, I made this card for my mom and these are the colors in her tall coffee cups.

I trimmed the colored panel 3.25" x 8.75" and mounted it onto a dark, royal blue card stock. I added some sequins and then adhered the matted sentiment. I will hopefully mail it to my mom soon!

Thanks for stopping by and remember to head to the IO Blog.
